Recently I discovered that I had a Personal Learning Network (PLN) and didn’t even know it. Okay, I knew I had it, I just didn’t know it had a name. But learning this tool I had come to enjoy tapping into on a daily basis was indeed legitimate and practiced by others, and in fact had a name, was a real encouragement.
To be fair, I am hardly revolutionary, PLNs have existed for as long as there have been learners. But what is new about PLNs is how Web 2.0* is making them so accessible, simple and rewarding to use.

Submitted by Heather on Mon, 05/10/2010 - 17:17.In a world overflowing with information – never ending, instant and overwhelming - an ancient art has come full circle. In our modern, corporate world, storytelling is re-emerging as an important method of communicating to others.
Living in a ‘Just the facts’ world, how can this be? We can instantly ‘Google’ information and have instant access to the seemingly hundreds of new studies, facts and figures released daily. How can there be room in our communications for stories? Aren’t stories just a hold-over from our childhood?

I have had on the topic of leadership. Many of them have been on walks or drives with my partner Denise. Many others have been with participants in workshops.
I always loved these discussions because it forced me to mould, modify and articulate my thoughts around the topic of leadership.
So here in my first blog I thought I do the countdown of my Top Ten Leadership Traits; starting with number 10.
