Facilitation for Team Building
Teams by Design
Effective team building can help an organization, work group or department resolve a problem or achieve a goal. Whether you need help keeping a project on track or a team needs support in finding ways to improve, the Performance Group experts can help.
The first step is to conduct a needs analysis with the group, and to establish ground rules that encompass individual and team roles as well as barriers to success.
The facilitator can help participants work on identifying what their ‘ideal’ team would look like, determine where they are in relation to the ideal, and come up with strategies for closing the gap.
The Performance Group is the catalyst that enables clients, teams and organizations to get where they need to go.
Whether it’s through a planning session or a retreat, the facilitator will ensure the team has as detailed an action plan as possible and that each participant leaves with the belief that they have a valuable contribution to make and the motivation to succeed.
Thrivers – Team Building Session
Unlike the television show “Survivor” this is team building, focused on inclusion and thriving through working together, not on exclusion and individual victories. To achieve this, “Thrivers” involves forming and then reforming teams, based on an exchange between groups of team members.
After each Team Task is explained, the groups will be able to select a new team member from another team. Selection will be based on the identification of strengths and contributions that will enhance the team’s chances in the new activity. The team from which the participant is selected cannot object to the loss of the participant, but gets to pick someone from another team to add to their own. This way each team gains a new participant at the start of each new Team Task. Each participant can only switch teams once until every participant has been moved at least once. Team Tasks will rotate between active/physical problem-solving and creative/brain-teasing problem solving.
